Life's Abundance Premium Cat Food FAQ
and Information:
General Cat Nutrition Info.
If you have a cat, and you would like to switch cat food, you are well
advised to refrain from suddenly changing your cat's diet. The switch
should be done should be done gradually, over the course of a week, until
that is the only food fed. This is because a fast switch may result in
your cat getting diarrhoea.
There are essentially 2 types of pet cat produced, "complete" and
"complementary".
The difference is that complete food can be fed as the only source of
nutrition(wet or dry), whereas complementary food is specifically made to
go with complete food.
Prepared food has been created based on a substantial amount of research
over the course of many years.
This is why it is so much better nutritionally than table scraps.
It is not easy to achieve the optimal balance of nutrients when preparing
your cat's meals on a daily basis, and if improperly fed, nutrition
deficiencies may happen, thus effecting the health of your cat.
Your cat needs a certain balance of protein, water, carbohydrates and
various nutrients for optimal health. Being a true carnivore, it's
nutritional needs are considerably different than a dog's needs, for
example.
There are anumber of products on the market which are liquid diets, and
these are generally very calorie dense and nutritious. If your cat is in
convalesence, your pet may also be able to manage mashed or liquidised
canned food.
Always ask you Vet before deciding on a particular type of cat food. If
you have decided on a premium cat food, Dr. Jane Bicks, perhaps the most
prominent Vet in the nation, recommemnds Life's Abundance Premium Cat
Food. In fact, she formulated
it for an optimal balance of nutrition.
